For those interested in following Central German Shepherd Rescue on Facebook we have two sites, one for the rescue dogs and one for general social discussions regarding your dogs and general chat activities.
Vet bills, food and kenneling are three of the things we cannot be without.
Our volunteers and trustees give up their own time - at their own expense - to transport, homecheck potential new owners, assess dogs etc - without them there is no rescue - without them dogs will die.
One way to keep these dogs in safe hands is to sponsor a kennel.
We cannot put a price on our volunteers - they are just too valuable - and we will not put a price on donations as every little helps.
What we can promise though is that if you use our dedicated finance link and tick the GIFT AID option, if you are a basic rate tax payer, for every pound we receive we can actually claim an extra 25% through the tax office due to being a recognised charity - and it will not cost you any extra than your generous donation.
CGSR - or Central German Shepherd Rescue evolved from a group of people with vast German Shepherd experience.
The aim was to create an officialy registered charity designed to help those in need, something that was achieved in less than 12 months.

As a reputable rescue our volunteers strive to ensure that everything is done to the highest standard and in the strictest confidentiality to make sure that every dog in our care gets a loving home.
Without doubt adoption is the best thing that can happen to a dog in kennels, any dog, once your homecheck has successfully passed, you could soon have your new best friend staying with you and your family.
Hopefully if you have got this far down the page you like what you have seen.
Why not join our band of volunteers, we have social events, fun at awareness and fundraising days, and above all, have a common cause which is the wonderful German Shepherd.
It does not matter where you live, if you drive, even if you have a dog - there are many ways you can help so please look at our volunteering page and help save a life.
And that is, as they say, exactly what it says on the tin.
Here you can find some of the wonderful dogs that have come into Central German Shepherd Rescue and gone on to live a happy life in a new loving family.
Some of them have come through trauma, some have come through their owners personal circumstances but each and every one has gone to a HAPPY HOME
From time to time there are situations whereby people are taken into care for operations etc, this requires there loved pets to require foster homes for a period of time.
Sometimes we are unable to offer foster homes for various reasons such as being full but we are prepared to share their plight in the hope that others will be able to help provide short term or longer fostering.
